Harrison's Caves

Mark and I were able to go on a tour of Harrison's Caves in Barbados. It was a really neat experience and we learned a lot. Our tour guide said that if you can't remember whether it is a stalactite or a stalagmite then remember this saying: A stalactite must hold "tite" to the ceiling, and a stalagmite just "mite" form on the ground. I thought this was a helpful saying.

This collection was called "The Village"

Water was dripping from the ceiling so we got a little wet.

This was the "emergency exit."
There was a boat next to the water and a ladder across the way.
The tour guide was quick to tell us that they have never needed to use it.

We really enjoyed the tour and were grateful to get out of the heat for a little.
