Yellowstone

We weren't planning on going to the park on our trip this weekend, but we had borrowed Clair's camera and thought we should try it out on the wildlife in Yellowstone. We were only in the park for a few hours, but it might have been the best animal viewings we have ever had.

Lunch at Canyon Street Grill before entering the park.

There were baby bison sunbathing everywhere.

I was so excited to see this cute little calf and mother.

We kept driving and not more than 100 yards up the road we spotted this pair. It was definitely the highlight of the trip.

Some pools and geysers at Black Sands

Guests can sign up to help take down the flags at the Old Faithful Inn. It was really windy, though. I don't think I would have wanted to that day.

One of the pullout drives you can take led us past this guy and some cool terraces and cones.

On our way out of the park that night we saw some more bison.

There were four babies that were chasing after each other. We sat and watched them play for about 30 minutes. We got a kick out of their little snorting, head butting, and bucking.
