First stop, Sawtell Peak.
It was really cold
and windy on top,
but the view was amazing.
On the way down Mark spotted a moose.
I wanted to give it some of the muffin that we were eating for breakfast, but Mark said no because it would probably want some jam.
Next, we went to Quake Lake. It is a lake that was formed from a landslide triggered by an earthquake in 1959. The earthquake measured 7.5 and killed 28 people. We were amazed that over 50 years later you could still see the trees standing in the middle of the lake where there used to be campgrounds.
Outside those windows is where the slide happened.
Here is a view from the outside.
Mark and I at the cabin standing in front of Sawtell.
