Easter

Mark and I had such a fun Easter weekend. We lounged around the house and listened to General Conference.

On Sunday morning, we had strawberry cream cheese waffles with potato and carrot hash browns and juice.

The morning was so beautiful. The dogs stayed like this the majority of the day.

I sported my new Easter shirt from my mom. (Also seen in the previous post.)

We also made treats to give away. Unfortunately, our sugar cookies didn't get very far out of the house, we still haven't tried the banana cake, but we did give away toffee to the most important.

They're Baaack!

My long curly locks have finally reappeared after three long years. . .

Did you miss this as much as I did?

How about this?

Or this?

(I sure have missed this cute little fluff on the back of my head!)

To celebrate my recent hair adventures, Mark and I went on a date to Outback. Nothing can compare to their delicious bread!

We always have so much fun!

Family Visits

This weekend was so much fun. My mom came to visit us for a few days, and Sam stayed the weekend. Mark and I really need to improve our picture taking habits, especially the quantity.

Mom was here for five days and this is our documentation.

(Side note: the moose in the picture is definitely the biggest, most muscular moose I have ever seen. Dead or Alive!)

Ironically, Carter came to visit for about five hours and we have an abundance of pictures.

Carter was wearing his cool Vans that Uncle Mark and Aunt Maddie got him for Christmas. Yes, I am running for favorite aunt.

Carter trying out Uncle Mark's hat while he was at work.

We had so much fun and look forward to the next round of visitors.

March 21, 2009

This Sunday was our one year anniversary! It is hard to believe that one year ago we were in the sealing room of the Rexburg Idaho Temple to be joined as husband and wife and sealed for time and all eternity. It was such a wonderful day. To celebrate we tiled our bathroom and ate our wedding cake. With the leftover mortar from tiling, I made a little plaque to commemorate our anniversary. Unfortunately, we didn't take pictures actually on Sunday, but Monday was just as good even if it did start snowing.

Here is a little sneak peek of Mark grouting the tile in the bathroom. . .
Yes, it is gray, beautiful gray.

All work and no play...

Here are some videos of Mark and I playing with our new hammer after taking out the shelves in the pantry and removing the chimney. After all that work it was nice to just mess around.

Don't mind the bandana. I was trying to keep my hair from getting too dusty.

Nailed it!
